First memories start in
Cringleford
Norwich, then
Hethersett
, the police house is still there on the old A11, I will remember things
to add. we then moved on to the wonderful peace of
Walsingham, Norfolk, a great place photo's soon but well worth a visit.
We
then moved to
Old
Catton Norwich, this move was so dad could help form the Norfolk Police
Dog Section. The Police House was like a prison camp, old Karl was not to be toyed with. My past
employment included a spell in the
Royal Air Force Regiment
and then
Norfolk Police,
including my introduction to computers via the Police National Computer
Centre in Hendon, lots more could go in here, but. Then off I went to
complete over20 yrs in the
hospitality business at all levels,
check out
My Pubs
for
some of our antics.
Life now in Pembrokeshire is essentially "enforced" relaxation as my world revolves around my
cats
and a little bit of
community work.
There are lots to see in the
picture section
with the round up of everything that is me and
Pembroke
Dock
Hethersett Police House, this picture taken August 2006...in the old days the extension on the front the Police Office and the wall were not there...the house was just after the notorious A11 Hethersett Bends...that's what you called a traffic black spot back in the fifties. I must say other than the changes already mentioned and a new garage it all looks the same...although the orchard look's very very sad. |

Royal Air Force Coltishall

|
I have many found
memories of the squadrons at
Royal
Air Force Coltishall.
(41 Squadron, 54 Squadron and 6 Squadron) most of which I had better not
note down here ! We also arranged to send a little liquid
refreshment from us all at the Chequers...with the support of
Adnams Brewery Southwold

The News on the Closing of Royal Air Force Coltishall Jaguar's farewell to bases in Norfolk The pencil-thin shape of a Jaguar jet darted through British skies for the last time yesterday, bringing a proud era of aviation to end. A farewell flight by the warhorse warplane included a buzz over the Norfolk airbase which was its home for more than 30 years.

Air UK Norwich I am also proud to have had close links with the Air UK and had great experiences both on the ground and in the air, with thanks to the late great Harry Payne, Managing Director Air UK (Engineering) Ltd (now KLM) and Pat Scrase 737/767 Pilot with Air UK (Leisure) Ltd.

In the Early 90s I was pleased to be involved in supporting the team who brought Diamond Lil a 1940 Liberator to the UK from The Confederate Air Force base in Arizona for many emotional flypasts over the air fields of East Anglia |

You can't keep a good
man down.......after leaving Norfolk getting on the radio
has not been easy......When I first arrived here in the Dock I
was accosted in the street by this nice man from Radio
Pembrokeshire asking me about Pembroke Dock...Still to this day
the station is using sound bite's from the interview. |
